Super convenient size to throw in my bag. Lots of sunscreens tend to run in the water but I've been stoked with the staying power of this, even after hours in the lineup. Lifeguard here with plenty of experience with tons of different sunscreens and I keep returning to this one. Reef safe is a bonus for me, but keeping it out of my eyes no matter how much I sweat is what sets it apart.
I first bought this sunscreen in Joshua Tree at the park’s two gift shops. I was happy to find it online until I can get back to Joshua Tree. The sunscreen is very nice and very easy to apply. Just be sure to rub it in to avoid looking like you’re wearing a mask.
JTree sponsors the Pocatello Pump. I've been using the sunscreen ever since in was introduced. Spread easy, smells good, and provides great protection for hours.
I fish a lot, and had been frustrated by sun blocks that get into my eyes and cause a lot of pain. I've NEVER had that issue with J Tree terrestrial sunblock, and have used it every day for the past 7 years. Another frustration with other sun blocks is they leave a greasy residue that makes it harder to perspire and stay cool. When J Tree terrestrial sunblock is rubbed in it feels as though there is no residue at all. I have not tried the "Reef Safe " version, but look forward to doing so in the future.
This is my favorite mineral sun screen. The vegetable-oil base makes it really creamy and easy to apply. I'm disappointed that the price has nearly doubled since I first bought it two years ago. I wish they'd offer a larger size that could cost a little less per ounce.
