On top of that, daily training for slalom water skiing results in severe calluses. Normal lotions (like those available at the wash stations) would cause my callouses to soften and tear... that's excruciating! J-tree, I absolutely love your product. I used to use ClimbOn, it was fine, but there is something about J-tree that my fingers LOVE. I climb here in Arkansas, mostly sandstone, and a group of us are working on developing some new climbing areas. New sandstone will eat your tips away.I find that a night of relaxing and applying J-tree keeps me able to pull hard that next day. I let some of my friends use some of the tub that I have and now I am out, good thing my muscles need a break for a few days.

Friends, I have just returned from a climbing trip to JTree. Used the Salve for the first time on small climbing cuts and skin cracks from cold weather here in Tennessee. Put it on and taped the places overnight and next day I was good. Amazing. Saturday afternoon my wife was stung by one of our honeybees. A dab on the sting and next morning there was no lingering soreness at all. I've been stung in the same place (my forehead) and the soreness lasted several days. A good friend and I got severe wind burn after snowboarding on cold and windy day. Our faces were red, chapped, and sensitive. We tried the new Face Stick and to our supprise it worked wonderfully. Hi Dave - I just wanted to tell you that I bought a tube of the lavendar lip balm at the New Chelsea Market in Chelsea, MI. It's by far the best lip balm I've ever used - better than Burt's Bees, Dr. Bronner's, and regular ol' Chap Stick for sure. I'll have to try the other varieties. Actually, if you're looking for a way to expand your market, you might think about potters. (This thought just occured to me). I haven't tried the climbing salve, but potters tend to get really rough, dry, cracked hands... it's a thought. :) Kudos on the lip balm!

I have been climbing for 5 years, and never have I ever come across such a wonderful product. This climbing salve stands out from the rest for a few personal reasons.
One, I have Ezcema. As I'm sure you can image, this condition/ rash is in harsh conflict with my love for climbing and being outdoors. Each climb I do with chalk means 4-5 days recovery with heavy cortizones and layers upon layers of lotions. This is to combat the elements that have torn my hands up and the harsh dryness I experience afterwards. So, that's been my life thus far. I recently climbed my first ever 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell competition at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch and was also introduced to J-Tree Salve. as part of a goody bag for the competators. By about 2am my skin was cracking, aching, bleeding (all that good stuff) and my lips were so dry. I used that climbing salve everywhere, and it worked!!!
This leads to my second personal experience with J Tree being amazing. Stress at work, and allergies has caused my Eczema to spread to my mouth, ears, and upper eyelids. These are all locations the cortizones and heavy creams say " Do Not Ingest" or "Call Poison Control". Now, weather I was supposed to do this or not, I put the J Tree salve on my eyelids because it was all organic and very soothing and figured why not. This salve has seriously helped control and sooth my out-of-control skin condition. I trust your product to perform everytime. It is just the right amount of everything I need to keep the Eczema outbreak down. Thank you so much!

I was babysitting for a guy named Andrew Johnston. I had just come back from climbing some limestone up near Mt. Bora in Idaho and my hands were toast. There was a pot of (JTree Salve) on his counter. I tried it, and by the next day most all of my cuts were healing and my hands weren't super dry. I was so stoked Andrew gave me a sample he had. When it was finished I had to buy myself a big jar and one for my friends - it's a life or (skin) saver and I don't stop raving about it.

Let's say that it's been a long winter here in SLC, and that you've been looking forward to finally getting out of town and go climbing in shorts and a t-shirt. You've got the entire week off--the desert is tempting, but the weather there looks iffy, Red Rocks might be OK--but the camping there is, well, bleak... So it's got to be J-Tree--no question!

And let's suppose you fancy yourself sort of a student of climbing history, and there's a proud route in the park, a line first freed in 1977, that Bob Kamps called the EBGBs. You've just recently developed a taste for slab climbing at your new home crag, Little Cottonwood Canyon, and so you're more than confident it'll go, despite its witty, yet foreboding moniker. So there you are, thinking, "Kamps was THE man. I wonder if this line was hand drilled? Man, it's getting warm. These shoes are killing my feet! I should have skied less and trained more in the gym..." And then, just before clipping the last bolt, you blow it, off on a 30 footer--and suddenly, you're wishing you had worn pants, much like the time you thought it would be a good idea to glissade the headwall below the Lower Saddle in your shorts.

So, the point? When you botch the sequence early into a roadtrip, you can either:
A) Go home and learn to slab climb.
B) Go home and only sport climb.
C) Use J-Tree Salve and climb the rest of the week!

I first received your climbing salve at Infittera's adventure race in December, The Chill. At the MMBA meeting, I think it was in February, I bought your tea. I just did another adventure race last week-end, Diamonds & Dirt, and received another sample. The climbing salve came in handy when I took a spill while biking at Pontiac Lake this week-end. I had a nasty scrape and bruise and put some on. Not sure this was the intended use but it worked great. I've also used it to lube up my toes before running because I didn't have any body glide. Again, not sure that was the intended use but it worked.

I am relatively new to the sport of climbing so after my first indoor climbing competition, my hands hurt in a way that I m not used to. I live in Vail, Colorado and love to ski. I use your product every time I go skiing, and I think it is great. It really helps with wind burn and protects my face from the cold weather. I found j-tree at a bike shop in Tucson Az. I am from Alaska and I have not seen this product anywhere around, so when I stumbled upon it I figured I would check it out. the first thing that hit me was the smell. Currently I am in the Army, but at home I was a road and mountain cyclist as well as a year round commuter (winters included). I have experienced some bad skin damage both to the conditions and crashes. In the Army I experience some skin damage due to crawling around, time in boots and other mishaps. I started using J-tree on the little scrapes and cuts on my hands and knees, but also on the abrasions and other damage to my feet due to hours in boots. This product works better than anything else that I have tried. I intend to make sure I have at least 2 tins with me when I leave for my impending deployment to the war zone. I foresee this product being invaluable in a desert climate where there is wind, sand and heat damage to just about everything. This photo is of an Ice Crit, where a course is plowed on a frozen lake and we race anything that works, my ride of choice in those conditions is a cross bike with 38-40c Nokian studs.

I bought a race jersey and some of the cycling salve from you guys back at the '09 Iceman in Traverse City. Since then, I have proudly worn the J Tree Life jersey in all of my organized cycling event. Love the salve and the jersey, but ran into a wreck yesterday at Le Tour de Mont Pleasant road race. Got involved in a crash about 30 yards from the finish. I was checking out the J Tree website, but didn't see any jerseys available for sale. Can you let me know if you still have any available? Boca, our Bearded Collie put Joshua Tree Pet Salve to the test yesterday. We are traveling in Arizona, so she has her "summer hair cut", and is a bit vulnerable right now. As best we can tell, she laid down on a scorpion yesterday, and got quite an interesting sting on her butt. When we checked it last night, it looked like a red, miniature volcano, spewing puss. I washed it with warn soapy water, trimmed some fur around it and applied J Tree. This morning, the oozing had stopped, the redness and swelling were almost gone. We were lucky it wasn't a more venomous species, but all scorpion stings can be "dirty" wounds, and often get infected. JTree Pet Salve gets a 5 paws rating for this one!

I'm an avid outdoors-gal and hunter. I recently volunteered at the Western Heritage Hunting and Conservation Expo in Salt Lake City, UT, on behalf of the Mule Deer Foundation. Whomever the salesman at that booth did one heck of a job getting me to stop, sample and purchase your product. He was a hoot! I originally began using Joshua Tree products over a year ago as a result of reading an article in Mens Journal. My fingers were taking a beating from stocking chill and frozen products at Target and the cold winters here in MA didn't help either. The climbing salve was helpful in healing the cracks, cuts, nicks, and bruises resulting from my job. My 1st order was thru an eco-company, but it seems they no longer carry Joshua Tree. I recently tried your Fire chalk in 'The Quarry' in Provo Utah while on a business trip, it was fantastic in fact I brought both the Fire and the Ice and carried them back to the UK with me. I have been using them both at my local wall and the interest is big! I am also a Scout leader and instruct at our district wall and this is a perfect product for us.
Is it available in the UK? I am sure it will go down very well over here and I know the scouts would love the feeling and smell of the chalk.

I picked some salve up at smith rocks a few years ago... absolutely LOVE the stuff... what's the shop there...red point? can't remember...anyway... my friends were there a few months ago and I asked them to grab some for me, but they said there wasn't any...or they were lazy and lied to me. :) either way, my jar is definitely running out now!

My boyfriend has ordered your products before and he gave me the Healing Salve to try on my calluses on my feet. It worked great and also did wonders on my dry heels. About 2 years ago, I bought some J-Tree Climbing Salve at the gear shop - Nomad Ventures - out on 29 Palms Highway. I love it and use it every day, whether or not I'm climbing. The gift set is great - I'll definitely have to order a few for my cycling coach and team members for the Solvang Century Ride. We had a great time on our five day drift down the Smith River. The river is't too challenging for novice rowers and the scenery is beautiful, plus the parks and wildlife service does a good job with the camp sites. I used the salve to keep the skin on my hands from drying and cracking, and it seemed to work really well.

The salve was a life saver this summer. My daughter and some of her friends at gym used the salve for their hands and really liked it. Instant pain reliever.
I LOVE IT!! I burned my arm in three different spots in the oven and used the salve. Instant pain and later itch relief. The whole family has used it on one thing or another.

However, I bought one of your combo pack things and the Mountain mint lip balm was empty, the other two were full and are lovely to use. There were some people selling reunion T-Shirts and they had some small (tiny, actually) jars of your product - they were giving these away as samples.
